Wednesday Morning Bible Study 9am weekly This fall, we’ll explore the book of Hosea, a story of God’s love for God’s people lived out. An astonishing story with an even more astonishing message. After a holiday break, the group will resume mid-winter to look at another book of the Bible.
Women’s Study 7pm, Tuesdays, Oct 9 – Nov 13 Finding Balance: Loving God with Heart and Soul, Mind and Strength . In this six-week study, we’ll consider the question of balance in our lives--between service and worship, duty and devotion, doing and being. We’ll look at the lives of New Testament women such as Mary and Martha, Lydia, Mary the mother of Jesus, the Canaanite woman, and Mary Magdalene.
Living the Questions 7pm, Thursdays, 12 sessions, Oct 18 – Jan 31 People know that at its core, Christianity has something good to offer humanity. Yet many have a sense they are alone as a "thinking" Christian. LTQ is an open-minded alternative to studies that attempt to give participants all the answers and instead strives to create an environment where participants can interact with one another in exploring their faith.
Winter and Spring Studies
Discover your spiritual gifts 7pm, Tuesdays, Jan 8 – Feb 12 During these sessions, participants will use a variety of tools to discover who God has uniquely made them to be and guide them to a place of meaningful service in the local church.
Spiritual disciplines 7m, Thursdays, Feb 21 – Mar 13 Based on Richard Foster’s classic Celebration of Discipline, we’ll explore some classic Christian spiritual practices. Meditation, prayer, service, and worship and celebration can become part of our daily and "bring the abundance of God into our lives” as we experience spiritual growth.
Living the Christian life 7pm, Tuesdays, April 8 - 29 What distinguishes you and me as a Christian? The answer to the question really is defined very personally. Does what I think, say, and do reflect well on Jesus, whose name I bear in calling myself a Christian? How can I integrate my spiritual gifts, spiritual practices, and day-to-day life?
