Through the programs available through agencies like CSADV, Crossroads, or Women Aware, many gain skills and confidence and are ready to move from transitional housing into a permanent, safe living arrangement.
Once they've found a place, they often need the most basic necessities to live on their own. Dishes, pans, bath towels, soap, a toaster...
Money is tight, and even these basics can be costly when you have to start from scratch.
A Moving on Box can make a difference. Two boxes, a wastecan and clothes basket are packed with all the items a person might need as they move on from transitional into more permanent housing.
With the help of agency staffers, we've detremined most needed supplies.

• Saucepan with lid
