2T - teen guide

Guides for children's sizes 2T through teen sizes and maternity. See separate page for NB - 24 mo. See tagging page for marking directions.

Wash and hang or stack flat (see chart below) all clothes; only clean items are accepted. Sort items by gender, by size and by type (shorts, jeans, etc). Use twist ties to hold hanger bundles together.
Please bring items in great condition- make sure there are no stains, rips or tears. Make sure clothing looks neat and pressed to avoid bringing items back home. If it looks like it's been laundered a lot, please donate to Gospel Mission.
Make sure all clothing items are appropriate for the sale season. The April sale is spring and summer ONLY.
We do NOT accept fall and winter clothing for the spring sale, including most heavier shirts, all corduroy, winter coats, heavy sweaters, Christmas and Halloween clothes (except costumes. They sell better in the fall, though, but will sell in the spring)
camisoles or tank tops for girls - flat, please
Teen and adult sizes - do not sell exceptionally well. Our rule will be we will accept these sizes if they have been worn by middle school students, or would be. Please don't bring your adult sizes unless they're styled for pre-teens.

Suggested guideline: If your child would not be able to wear the outfit on July 1, please wait until fall.

All items not meeting guidelines will be returned to the consignor at check in, including items not tagged properly and items that are stained, dirty, smelling of smoke or storage and those that are out of date or in poor condition.

You set your prices - Remember most sellers follow these guides, ensuring items selling for about the same price. EVERYTHING PRICED IN EVEN $$$ ONLY. $1, $2, $3...
Most items can be sold for roughly 20-25% of their retail price. Boutique, higher end brand name items and items that are new with tags can go for 30% of the retail price.

Pricing guide This is what items have sold for in the past few sales...You may go higher, if you feel necessary, but most sellers stay in these guidelines, and so your items may not sell as well. Ask yourself, "What would I pay for this item in my child's current size, given the cost of a new one and the condition of this one?"

Dresses	$3-$8	Hangers	Add accessories if you have them. Fall and winter (see Easter note above) ONLY at this time.

Outfits - preferred, if possible Play set = $2-$4 other 2pc = $3-$6 3 pc = $4+		Hangers	Pin bottoms to back of top, at shoulders, on top, angled part of hanger, not bottom straight piece. Make a tag for EACH piece...1 of 3, 2 of3, 3 of 3...put price for total outfit on each tag. Descriptions "Old Navy Set", etc. are very helpful.
Maternity	$2+	Hangers only - we have no table space for these items.	Don't sell especially well, but you can try.

Kids socks/used tights = 2/$1 at the most. (Often 6 pr in a bag for $1)
Ties, slips, new tights, cami's = $1. Bring flat.
New undies = $1/pkg
